Notes:
Today was like a half day. I discovered that one way to beat the terrible bumps, cracks, and broken hwy asphalt of Samar, is to bicycle leisurely. I had plenty of time today. No hurry. That seems the best way to approach the broken, unpredictable roads.
I followed up former young person (Jethro) from our youth group in Sta Rita, Samar. Ate with him, listened to his SK Chairman stories showered and changed there; and he vulcanized my extra tube.
Had great photos and drone at San Juanico bridge. I am staying at mission center I helped pioneer in 2014 in Tacloban.
Only 153kms to Port of Liloan. Humm? 🤔Should I try in one day???🚴♂️✅
My next official checkpoint is in Port of Liloan Pier/Ferry going to Surigao, Mindanao. 1 to 1.5 days from now. 🚴🔥

Tacloban, Leyte south through Palo, Tolosa, Dulag, Abuyog, Mahaplag, Agas-Agas Bridge, Sogod 🚴♂️🇵🇭
Notes:
The first 80% of today was nice, straight, flat highways, with the wind behind me. The last 20% (basically) was climbing with some broken roads.
I met another 2023 Looper, retired policeman, and a burger machine lady was most interested in this Loop activity. Gave them all stickers (default) and Bibles (selective).
I filled water bottles from the mountain and got some nice drone shots at Agas-Agas.
Arrived in Sogod. I will spend EXTRA DAY OFF in Sogod. 🚴♂️✅
The 22nd is a day off in Sogod.
My next official checkpoint is tomorrow in Port of Liloan Pier/Ferry going to Surigao, Mindanao. 🚴🔥

Sogod, Leyte going south to Lilo-an Port Ferry crossing to Surigao, Mindanao. 🚴♂️🇵🇭
Notes:
The ride from Sogod to the Lilo-an pier seemed long at 39.46kms. Had some climbing and light showers.
Easy check-in at the pier, few customers, and 3 hour trip to Surigao. Lilo-an Pier marks my 9th official checkpoint.
Added another 24.82kms just trying to find my housing. Google maps was wrong and the Manager giving me instructions was terrible also. Finally found the place and received a good price of 600. 🚴♂️✅
I will be pointing towards Butuan tomorrow.🚴🔥
